Once your units are level 20, you can go ahead and either continue to train them to level 21 (Promotion level), or you give them a Master Seal/Crown (depending on which tier you’re going to). I just finished the 2 part mission in the first chapter, and Edward hit 21 and automatically promoted.
How many supports can you have in Radiant Dawn?
You can only have one support per character pair, and they only have to be deployed in the same map. The game uses an invisible support number that goes up every time you do a command with the unit you want to support (ie, healing, rescuing, shoving, and I believe standing beside each other increases that too).
Why is Radiant Dawn hard?
Every part with the Dawn Brigade is hard, just due to them simply being outclassed. Leonardo and Edward are good, if you have them supporting each other. It is best that you use your prepromotes as tanks/dodgetanks. It gets harder later on in the game, when you begin switching between parties.
How do you promote Path of Radiance?
The majority of characters promote automatically when they reach level 21. You can also force them to promote at level 10 or higher by having them use a Master Seal, skipping the intervening levels. Ike, Sothe, and Volke do not promote naturally, however.
How difficult is Radiant Dawn?
For the average gamer, and even the most hardcore, Radiant Dawn can be very tough on normal. Many people like to speed through games rather than take their time to think things over (when necessary). If you are that kind of person, than Radiant Dawn will be incredibly tough for you, too difficult, even.
How do supports in radiant dawn work?
Supports give a flat bonus to Hit, Critical, Critical Evade and Avoid when the characters are within three spaces of each other. In Radiant Dawn, if two characters reached an A support, the Bond between them is increased by 5.
