Did Soren kill Viren?
When he and Claudia got home and are arrested for treason, Ezran chose to spare them from imprisoning out of compassion of not punish them for what Viren did. Soren managed to stab his father before he could do the same to Ezran. Soren seemed to regret killing him before it was revealed that he was only a decoy.
Why is Viren evil?
The most obvious reason why Aaravos is clearly the main villain of the story is the fact that he was not only imprisoned by the Dragon King inside a mirror world, but the mirror was also kept inside the King’s quarters until he died.
